Fall is always a busy time and this year is proving to be one of the busiest yet with a massive
celebration for my Mother's 70th & my Auntie's 83rd birthdays!

I have always been in love with water drops and so it was
no surprise that after our most recent rain shower
I was on the hunt for interesting images!

1st time felting

I started with a red base and added different toned wool to the
final shape to add texture and depth.  The leaves were
created separately and attached at the end.

Once I completed the strawberry, I wanted to see how complex a 3D shape would be.
The cap of the mushroom proved difficult, but again I started with a red base and
added details and toned wool to the outside of each felted component,
attaching them at the end of the process. This piece has
varied felted tension to give a softer look.
